The following Terms and Conditions of booking, together with the general information contained on this website form the basis of your contract with Jalon Valley Property Rentals, 4, Maple Rise, Whiteley, Fareham, Hampshire, PO15 7GT. Please read them carefully as they set out our respective rights and obligations.
In these Booking Conditions, 'you' and 'your' means all persons in your party. Jalon Valley Property Rentals means us.
All bookings are made subject to the following booking conditions.
Contract
Your contract is with Jalon Valley Property Rentals. These booking conditions confirm the terms of contract that automatically come into force on payment of the deposit to Jalon Valley Property Rentals. You will be accepting these conditions on behalf of all members of your party and you must inform them of these.
United Kingdom law governs this contract and all matters arising out of it. We both agree that the Courts of the United Kingdom will deal with any dispute arising out of or in connection with your stay.
Reservation, Confirmation and Payment Conditions
You have made your reservation online. Please check your e-mail confirmation carefully as these details form the basis of our contract with you. When you pay online by debit or credit card the 30% deposit will be debited to your card immediately via your payment to PayPal. The remaining 70% of the contracted monies will be due via another PayPal payment 8 weeks before your arrival date. An exact date will be provided in your booking confirmation e-mail and via another e-mail sent by us just before the payment due date.
If the balance is not paid in time we reserve the right to cancel your holiday, retain your deposit, and apply the cancellation charges set out below in the ‘Changes or Cancellation by you’ section.
For last minute reservations made eight weeks or less before the arrival date, payment is due in full immediately. In this case the contract conditions come into force once the full payment has been received.
If your bank or card provider returns your payment to us unpaid, we reserve the right to make an administration charge of £35.
Any extra requests can only be guaranteed if confirmed in writing by Jalon Valley Property Rentals.
Prices and Periods
Prices are quoted per property (not per person) for the period you have selected and booked. Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday during high season, but other start days are possible during the rest of the year. Longer term lets may be available in low season. The minimum length of stay is 3 days.
Arrival and Departure, Curtailing or Extending your stay
Access to the property is from 16.00 hours local time on the day of commencement of your booking and you must vacate the property before 10.00 hours local time on the day of departure. Please arrange your travel to concur with these times. If you are unable to take occupation on the day and time reserved due to delays, illness, personal reasons etc, no refund can be made. Similarly if you have to cut short your holiday no refund can be made for the days unused.
Your Accommodation
Jalon Valley Property Rentals are agents for the property owners. We would draw your attention to the following points to help you understand what to expect in the property. The property has been furnished and equipped by the owners to comfortable standards. The property is fully equipped to make your stay a pleasure. We state the maximum number of people allowed in the property but you may wish to under-occupy to have more space - there is no supplement for under occupation. The properties may have extra things like a TV, video/DVD player, air-conditioning, dishwasher, travel cot, high chair and a bottle steriliser. Our property description will state what is present in the property. All rubbish must be removed from the property by you on your departure morning.
Changes or Cancellation by you
If you have to cancel your holiday the following cancellation charges will be payable. Cancellations received 57 days or more before arrival date = 20% of the rental. Cancellations received 56 days to 1 calendar month before arrival date = 50% of the rental cost. Cancellations received less than 1 calendar month to two days before arrival date = 80% of rental. Cancellations received one day before arrival, arrival date or after the arrival date = 100%. All cancellations must be confirmed via e-mail to Jalon Valley Property Rentals. Acceptance of the cancellation will be sent to you via e-mail. If you wish to change your booking the above cancellation charges will still be applicable, unless you change your booking with more than 57 days before your original arrival date.
Changes or Cancellation by Jalon Valley Property Rentals
It is unlikely we will have to make changes to your holiday. In the unlikely event that we are forced to do so we will advise you at the earliest possible date and will offer you the option of accepting a change or a full refund of all monies paid, but no further compensation. If any change is advised less than 4 weeks before departure we will also offer compensation of £30 per booking unless the change is due to war, riot, industrial dispute, natural disaster, fire or any other reason outside our control amounting to force majeure.
Your Liability
You have to pay a breakage deposit of £150 on top of your property rental to Jalon Valley Property Rentals. The deposit will be refunded within 14 days of your departure after deduction of any charges for repairs, breakages or excessive cleaning costs. You must take care of the property and contents and respect the local rules. If you break or damage anything in the accommodation you must advise our local managing agents or us immediately. You and your party will be liable for the cost of any repairs and replacements. You must leave the house in good order, wash and put away all crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils before your departure and dispose of all rubbish. Occupation of the property is strictly limited to the number of people indicated on the booking details. Our managing agents have the right to refuse entry to extra people or to charge a supplement.
Our Liability
We accept responsibility for ensuring the property you book with us is supplied as confirmed and the services offered reach a reasonable standard. We cannot guarantee local facilities will be open at all times of year. Swimming pools are usable most of the year. We cannot accept responsibility for any break in services, such as electricity and water, or any failure attributable to your own fault or party member or the actions of third parties unconnected with the provision of services or force majeure reasons. In these Terms and Conditions, "force majeure" means any event which we or the supplier of the service(s) in question could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, actual or threatened terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events outside our control.
We will not be responsible for any injury, illness, death, loss (for example loss of enjoyment), damage, expense, cost or other sum or claim of any description whatsoever which results from any of the following:
(a) the fault of the person(s) affected or any member(s) of their party or
(b) the fault of a third party not connected with the provision of your property by us which we could not have predicted or avoided or
(c) an event or circumstance which could not have predicted or avoided even after taking all reasonable care
Complaints
We do hope you enjoy your stay in the property. If you do have a problem during your holiday you must inform our local managing agents or ourselves immediately and they/we will endeavour to put things right. If you fail to follow this simple procedure we cannot accept responsibility as we have been deprived of the opportunity to investigate and rectify the problem. All formal complaints must be put in writing and sent to Jalon Valley Property Rentals, 4 Maple Rise, Whiteley, Fareham, Hampshire, PO15 7GT.
Insurance
It is strongly recommended that you take out adequate travel insurance. Please read your insurance policy details carefully. It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance cover you purchase is adequate for your particular needs.
Passports, visas and health requirements
It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in possession of all necessary travel and health documents (including Passports and Visas (where applicable) before departure. You must pay all costs incurred in obtaining such documentation. If you or any member of your party is not a British citizen or holds a non-British passport, you must check passport and visa requirements with the Embassy or Consulate of the country(ies) to or through which you are intending to travel.
